Work began in a modern athletics stadium in Craiova.
The Arena will have 5000 seats and will be lined by the stadium "Ion Oblemenco".
Work has already begun and the total cost of the arena will be 45 million lei.
"Athletics is the sport that has given us the greatest satisfaction in all these years and I am happy that resources have been found for the construction of this arena"said Sorin Manda, president of the County Athletics Association.
He said the deadline for the arena was May 1, 2020.
Originally, the arena was designed with an athletics track and a football field for training, but the groundwater problems made the stadium a special track for athletics.
