Ford introduced the Puma SUV, which will be produced in Craiova

The automaker Ford has introduced the Puma SUV in Amsterdam, which will be produced at the Craiova plant, the company announced Wednesday. The SUV will have hybrid hybrid propulsion technology of 48 volts and will be on sale at the end of this year.

Puma joins a growing line-up of Ford SUVs and crossovers in Europe, including Fiesta Active, Focus Active, EcoSport, Kuga, Edge and the new Explorer Plug-in Hybrid.

SUVs now account for over 20% of Ford vehicles sold in Europe. Ford SUV sales increased by 20% in Europe in 2018, with more than 19%.
