The young Robert Ion is the man of the day in Romanian football after scoring a double for Academica Clinceni in the victory with Petrolul, scoring 2-1. The guests rolled 1-0, but Academica returned home after the break, thanks to the 18-year-old boy on loan from FCSB.

Robert Ion has a termination clause of 50 million euros at the FCSB and hopes that his performance in La Liga II will not go unnoticed. He hopes to return to his team in the summer and play in the first team. In the meantime, he is waiting for a congratulatory message from Nicolae Dică and Mihai Stoica.

"I do not know anything (no where he goes back to the FCSB this summer), we will wait for the next discussion, I really have no idea. I hope this will happen (Dica or MM Stoica will call it). The preparation made with FCSB was quite long. Another mentality, another level, a very good trainingsaid Robert Ion.

At the age of 18, Robert Ion plays the offensive midfielder, transferred by the FCSB in the summer of 2017 from the Royal College of Football in Bucharest. He did not start his debut in the red-blue team, but was taken by Nicolae Dică to the summer camp, after which he was loaned to Clinceni.
