Regarding the government of Alba Iulia, the Cabinet of Dăncilă approved on Thursday the Emergency Ordinance providing for increased allowances for invalids, veterans and widows of war. This measure will come into effect on January 1, 2019.
Increase in compensation for disabled and war veterans effective January 1, 2019
War victims will receive the following sums of money:
-1500 lei per month, for the great mutilated and the first degree of disability;
-1000 lei per month for people with a second degree of disability;
-900 lei per month, for those who are in the third degree of disability;
Veterans will receive 600 lei a month, while war widows, if they have not remarried, will receive 600 lei per month.
The measure will come into effect on January 1, 2019.
The Government Emergency Ordinance states that the measure was adopted taking into account that the low value of the indemnities provided for in art. 1 of the law no. 49/1991, which does not allow the maintenance of a decent standard of living for the beneficiaries of these rights.
