Samsung Galaxy Note10 + is declared the "best camera phone" at the moment. The phones of the Chinese manufacturer have been so advanced against the competition that the only models that could surpass them are the new generations also produced by Huawei. go4t.ro
For a year and a half, Huawei has dominated the ranking of DxOMark comparators on smartphones. After the P20 Pro, the Mate 20 Pro and the P30 Pro have long been at the top of the rankings, a new champion has arrived. DxOMark has tested the Samsung Galaxy Note10 + 5G and has declared it "best camera phone" at the moment.
Samsung vs Huawei
On paper, the Samsung Galaxy Note10 + 5G does not have a camera very different from the one we encountered on the Galaxy S10 + 5G. Both feature three photo sensors and a 3D flight time sensor with similar specifications. However, it seems that Samsung worked very hard on the software during this period, managing to outperform the previous model. It was already tied with the DxOMark with the P30 Pro, from Huawei.
The benefits of the Galaxy Note10 + 5G over the P30 Pro seem to be focused around shooting functions. Huawei generally focuses on the quality of the photos. Samsung places a special emphasis on the shooting function, which earned it additional points to surpass Huawei in the DxOMark tests.
Samsung Galaxy Note10 + has a real "DSLR"
According to the conclusions of the tests, the Samsung Galaxy Note10 + 5G boasts a very effective stabilization system, a fast and accurate auto focus, natural color, a correct exposure in the most situations and a shooting allowing to capture good details both outside and inside. Of course, in low light, the small sensor can not capture as much detail. The tracking function provides an incoherent exposure.
The photos are great as long as there is a lot of natural light. The focus is fast, the exposure is calculated correctly and the sound of the image is low. Even enlarged photos keep their details at an average distance.
It seems that Samsung still has to work on the color balance in certain situations. Slightly worked on the image noise in the shaded areas and probably adding a more powerful zoom lens, like the 3X on the P30 or the 5X on the P30 Pro.
Conclusions for a final quality score
The final score of 113 points, one point more than that of the Huawei P30 Pro, consisted of a photo score of 118 points and a video score of 101 points. In comparison, Huawei P30 Pro, the former "champion" of mobile cameras, earned 119 points for the photo and 97 points for the DxOMark.
In addition to poor picture quality performance, the Huawei also has another drawback. It can shoot at 4K resolution at only 30 frames per second, while the Samsung model can shoot at 60 frames per second.
Thus, those who wish to obtain a high resolution idle effect have more leeway to experiment the Samsung model.
DxOMark also released a review of the Galaxy Note10 + 5G selfie camera, which is also ranked as "the best" on the market with 99 points, leaving ZenFone 6 in second place with 98 points.
