The Austrian Robert Hellwagner took over the local operations of the Selgros Cash & Carry chain after only a year when he was the commercial director of the same company. He occupies the new position on July 1, 2018, replacing Alexandru Vlad, one of the best known and most enduring local executives.
The Romanian government leaves after 17 years of management of Selgros Cash & Carry Romania, and it will take the same position in Selgros in Germany.

Germany is the strongest market for Selgros, a merchant present in total in four countries, namely Germany, Poland, Romania and Russia. The network has 90 stores worldwide, of which only 40 are in the German market. 22 others are operational on the Romanian market, the second largest, according to public data.
