Mobile slaughterhouses could become a solution for livestock farms, but also for small breeders who occasionally sacrifice animals. Mobile slaughterhouses will function as a slaughtering, cutting and marketing center, approved by the health and veterinary authorities and serving the region's farmers and other farmers in need of these services.
Within the slaughterhouse, the following activities can be carried out: slaughter of animals, first processing, storage, retail sale, slaughter and processing.

The average number of heads slaughtered per day in such a mobile slaughterhouse is three cattle or 20 sheep / goats / pigs different days.
According to MADR data, the market value of the equipment is between 55,000 and 100,000 euros, depending on the optional equipment. To operate the mobile slaughterhouse, it must have services such as running water, electricity, sanitation or bicameral septic tanks.

The duration of the investment is 24 months maximum for simple purchases and 36 months maximum if the project involves construction and assembly activities.
Mobile slaughterhouses are approved by the Health Veterinary Directorate and handed over to the slaughterhouse (container). When transferring to a new location, DSV receives a new license and a butchery caravan is licensed under a separate license.
