The French Competition Council announces in a press release on Thursday that it is analyzing the transaction whereby BNP Paribas Lease Group Ltd, BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions IFN SA and BNP Paribas Renting Solutions SA take over IKB Leasing Finance IFN SA and IKB Leasing Ltd.

IKB Leasing Finance and IKB Leasing are companies operating in Romania in financial and leasing services through leasing of credit and leasing and operational leasing, both of which are part of IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG

BNP Paribas Lease Group is present in Romania via BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions IFN SA and BNP Paribas Renting Solutions SRL. The two main businesses are lending and leasing services, respectively leasing and leasing of machinery and equipment for construction. Buyers are part of BNP Paribas International Financial Services Group

"In accordance with the provisions of the Competition Act No. (21/1996), the proposed transaction is an economic concentration in excess of the expected value thresholds. by the law and subject to the control of the Competition Council, the competition authority will evaluate this transaction in order to establish its compatibility with a normal competitive environment and will render a decision within the time limits set by the law. "
