The construction sector will be declared a "priority and of national importance" for the Romanian economy, Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă announced on Thursday, stating that a "minimum monthly wage of 3,000 lei" would be set for this sector.

According to the head of the executive, additional measures will be introduced to combat illegal work in the sector.
"Another measure would be to introduce 30% of the down payment for works contracts, regardless of the source of funding, and to reimburse it as a percentage of the discounts on each invoice, until the end of the year. project completionI, "said Dăncilă.
To support the financing of this sector, a "construction guarantee fund, with 80% of state participation and 20% of construction companies, will be created," said the prime minister.
