Rumor: the new generation Xbox will be "more advanced" than the PlayStation 5

Sony announced the PlayStation 5 the other day, which came complete with some rather impressive material details. There are now many rumors that the new generation Xbox is expected to be even more powerful than the next Sony console.

Journalist Ainsley Bowden (Porshapwr on Twitter) stated that "several insiders" had confirmed that the next Xbox would be "more advanced" than the PlayStation 5.

Bowden is also reported to have confirmed that the next Xbox is currently codenamed "Anaconda", something we've talked about in the past.

When asked what was the reputation of his sources, Bowden said that they were not necessarily his sources. However, these are reliable known sources that have proven themselves with respect to reputation leaks from Microsoft and the Xbox.

Bowden also said it "should not be surprising," because Microsoft had already announced that they would only have the most powerful hardware for their next-generation console.

According to a Wired exclusive with PlayStation lead architect Mark Cerny, the PlayStation 5 is expected to incorporate third generation Ryzen technology with a GPU based on AMD Radeon Navi. This will support the ray throw, which means that everything will be even better than usual.

Combined with the fact that the PS5 will support 8K displays, this console is designed to be easily the most graphically impressive PlayStation console.

The console is backwards compatible, allowing users to play both PS4 and PSVR games on the console. The PlayStation 5 is also about to abandon an internal mechanical hard drive in favor of an SSD drive.
