Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg will return to the Supreme Court on Tuesday to hear the pleadings eight weeks after surgery to remove cancerous nodules from her left lung, reported the Associated Press.

Ginsburg, 85, was operated on in December and has spent most of her time since her home rest. Justice failed to hear the case for the first time in January as she recovered, but she still worked from home using transcripts and memoirs.

Ginsburg is the oldest court judge and her health condition has been subject to heightened surveillance since she broke three ribs during a fall at the end of last year. The doctors discovered the disease by examining Ginsburg after its fall, the court said.

Justice was treated for colorectal cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009. Ginsburg said she had no desire to retire under Trump's presidency.
