Ginsburg made his return to the country's highest court Friday, working from his cabinet and attending a private conference with other judges. She was working from her home in Washington, DC, and was involved in the workload of the Court while recovering from an operation.

The court revealed in December that Ginsburg had undergone lung lobectomy at New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center after two nodules were found in the lower lobe of his left lung.

The discovery was made while she was undergoing tests after she fell and fractured several ribs in November. Ginsburg first missed a session without debate, during which judges took over for day-to-day business.

She missed several oral arguments because of her state of health. Prior to his last absences, Ginsburg had never missed a pleading since his confirmation to the High Court in 1993.

The Supreme Court returns after a suspension of four weeks Tuesday. We do not know if Ginsburg will be on the bench.
