Ruth Little Clark, 93, formerly of Wellsboro, died Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Kensington, Maryland.

Ruth was born August 11, 1928 in Roseville, Michigan, daughter of the late Otto Grant and Marion (Rightmire) Little. She married James Ewing Clark on December 30, 1950 and celebrated 62 years of marriage until her death on October 1, 2013.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Lycoming College and worked as a laboratory technician at the Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, and then, immediately after her marriage, at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro.

Ruth was an active member of the Wellsboro community. She proudly served as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church and was a longtime member of the Friday Club.

Ruth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott Walker Clark (Margaret Crosby) of Wycombe, Pennsylvania; daughter, Lynn Ellen Clark of Kensington, Maryland; grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Clark (David Henry) of Denver, Colorado and Michael James Clark of Greenville, SC In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her stepmother, Miriam Smith Little; his siblings, Miles Little and Carol Little Rockwell; and many cousins.

A private funeral service will be held on October 8, 2021 at the Wellsboro Cemetery.
