A few days ago we heard about a new version of Galaxy Buds that Samsung is likely to launch alongside its next Galaxy s21 phone next year. And now, thanks to a leak, we have our first good look at the Galaxy Buds Pro.
Images are courtesy of super leaker Evan blass, who tweeted official-looking renders of the rumored headphones. In one next messageBlass summarized data from previous reports on the Galaxy Buds Pro, which offer active noise cancellation, matching a feature found in the popular AirPods Pro.
Previously, there were rumors that the headphones Samsung was working on would be called Galaxy Buds Beyond. But recent FCC filings confirm the Galaxy Buds Pro name.

Blass leak suggests Galaxy Buds Pro will look like the original Galaxy buds or Galaxy Buds Plus instead of the bean shape Galaxy Buds Live launched at the end of summer. The matte surface surrounding a small glossy panel of the Buds Plus, however, appears to have been ditched for a glossy surface throughout.
These cosmetic changes are not reflected entirely on the headphone case, as the Galaxy Buds Pro 472mAh battery charging case looks similar to the Live model.
Blass’s leak also indicates that the new Galaxy Buds Pro may offer active noise cancellation, a feature the Galaxy Buds Plus did not have. Since these headphones go inside the ear, chances are they will provide a better seal to make this feature interesting. The Blass leak didn’t give much more detail on what additional specs to expect from the Buds Pro, so there isn’t a lot of information on what will be done to improve previous versions of Samsung.
Unfortunately, there is no pricing information for the new Buds yet, although we have an idea when they will arrive. The Galaxy S21 range is said to be making a January 14 debut, and it’s likely that the Buds Pro will arrive alongside the phone.
We’ll have to continue to wait for Samsung’s official word on its launch plans, but for now, it looks like the Galaxy Buds Pro should be able to keep up with Apple’s AirPods Pro – at least in terms of functionality. based.
