Samsung Galaxy Note 10 could drop the headphone jack and physical buttons

The unofficial start of the summer means it's time for the rumors to start swirling for the next Samsung Galaxy Note device, which is usually announced around August. Nevertheless, the news may not be what you want to hear: the Galaxy Note, which celebrates its 10th anniversary, could be the one where Samsung will finally remove the headphone jack from the phablet line.

according to Android font, Samsung may be preparing to release two sizes for the Galaxy Note 10 – a standard device and a smaller device (in any case, from the point of view of the note) – which will not include the headphone jack 3, 5 mm nor the physical buttons for power, volume and Bixby. According to rumors, the devices would have textured capacitive or touch-sensitive areas, which could look like the way the power sensor / fingerprint sensor is implemented on the Galaxy S10E. The new report picks up earlier rumors that Samsung was trying to remove the buttons from Note 10.

The removal of buttons is one thing – Samsung is trying anyway to improve everything on the screen or in anybody's body anyway – but the removal of a headphone jack would be a controversial decision for a company that has long claimed this feature against its competitors. And if the note plans to keep its stylus, it will still need a location to store the pen S Pen, which somehow eliminates the argument that the volume increases to increase the capacity of the battery.

It is a little early to take the rumors too seriously at this point, but we should know more about the device as the summer continues. Yet, Samsung rumors and leaks occur all the time, so it may be time to start preparing yourself for the inevitable.
