Scaramucci says Pelosi is "the smartest person" among Democrat calls for removal

Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci congratulated House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of D-Calif.

"I think the smartest person is actually President Pelosi," he told Fox and Friends on Friday. Scaramucci said that while he understood that Democrats had tried to use the impeachment issue to raise funds on the anger of their base, this would be a bad strategy for the 2020 elections.

He said the Democrats should instead look for a candidate who can beat President Trump. Although Trump has a good chance of winning in 2020, commented Scaramucci, Sanders was a "formidable" opponent and even the president admitted it during the election campaign.

Sanders, who led the Democratic candidates declared in the elections, received mixed reactions from his own party. Earlier this week, former Obama campaign manager Jim Messina predicted that Sanders could not win.

MUELLER'S REPORT IGNITS A NEW BATTLE OF DEM ON IMPACEMENT

Sanders called for further investigation after the Mueller report, but ignored the issues surrounding the impeachment. Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Another hope for 2020, officially called for impeachment this week and rejected the suggestion that Democrats should settle the issue for political reasons.

"I know people say that it's politically charged and that we should not go there, and that there are upcoming elections, but there are things that are more important than politics. "she said.

Pelosi, however, has repeatedly rejected this idea and said that Trump was "not worth" the effort required for a dismissal battle.

"The impeachment is so divisive for the country that unless something so constraining and overwhelming and bipartisan, we should not go that route, because it divides the country." it's just not worth it, "she said in an interview published in March.

While other progressives have signed destitution efforts, the representative Ro Khanna, D-Calif. indicated that Pelosi finally had the power to make that decision. "One person counts: Nancy Pelosi, she sets the House Democrats' agenda," he told Fox News on Friday.
