Scientists believe “penguins could be aliens” after chemical discovery of Venus

In one of the many recent – and bizarre – scientific discoveries, scientists now believe that penguins “could be aliens.”

British researchers later believe that studying penguins could help them identify other living things that exist in other worlds.

The bizarre revelation came after traces of a chemical known as phosphine were found in the bird’s poop.

Experts were baffled because they did not know how phosphine exists on Earth, as the chemical is located 38 million kilometers from Venus.

In order to find out how the penguin’s poop contained traces of the chemical, scientists now plan to study the gentoo penguin lifestyle, according to The Daily Star. The gentoo penguin is most common in the Falkland Islands.

Dr Dave Clements of Imperial College London told the Star of the day how scientists are “convinced” that the discovery of phosphine is “real”. However, he admitted that they don’t know “what makes it”.

Some anaerobic bacteria produce phosphine. It is found in the mud of ponds and in the bowels of badgers and penguin guano.

This may be related to defense or signaling against competing bacteria.

Last year, it was also discovered that the gas surrounding Venus contained traces of the chemical inside – whose environment is an atmosphere similar to that of Earth.

In other recent findings, scientists have realized that when transporting rhinos, it is actually safer to move them when they are upside down. The revelation received an Ig Nobel Prize, as well as another finding that the beard could be an “evolutionary development to help protect men’s faces from punches,” according to The week.

Scientists who analyzed the way cats communicate with humans also received an award.

According to scientists, while parrots, hummingbirds and songbirds were once considered the only birds capable of imitating human speech, an impersonator duck has just been heard for the first time.

According to The week, other mammals such as dolphins, bats, elephants, seals and whales also know how to mimic human sounds, however, a duck in Australia known as Ripper stole the show due to his first human-sounding words.
