Scientists Discover Huge Deforming Structure Around Our Galaxy

Researchers have located a very strange structure in the outer regions of our Milky Way galaxy, according to a recent study.

The study has been accepted for publication in The Astrophysical Journal Letters and details what is called Cattail, a gas filament that “seems to be the most distant and largest giant filament in the galaxy to date,The Nanjing University team of astronomers said. Astronomers have not yet discovered the origin of this large gas filament, but speculation suggests that it is a section of ‘a spiral arm that has gone unnoticed until now.
