Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game released today, almost ten years after its initial release. Fans went crazy for it, with “Scott Pilgrim” currently trending on Twitter. But the original creator of the graphic novel, Bryan Lee O’Malley, has revealed that the game originally had special DLC planned, until it was cut.

Clash at Demonhead (named after the NES game) is the band owned by Envy Adams, Scott’s ex, and Todd Ingram, Ramona’s vegan ex, as well as drummer Lynette. Envy and Lynette appear as sub-bosses in the game, and Todd – the third of Ramona’s perverted exes Scott must beat – is the boss of World 3.

We could have had playable villains! We could have been lucky enough to beat Scott Pilgrim! Well.

Envy Adams, by the way, was played by Brie Larson in the movie. You know, Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan Brie Larson, who wants to star in an Animal Crossing movie? The woman who takes Super Mario Galaxy too seriously? The actress who wants to make a Metroid movie? We can’t think of anything else she’s been in, but we love her.
