Sean Spicer: The press blames Sarah Sanders for reducing her airtime

Sarah Sanders, outgoing press secretary at the White House, receives unjustified criticism, as a reduction in the number of daily briefings does not give TV reporters a more personal airtime, a Sanders predecessor said on Friday.

Spicer claimed that journalists preferred the official press points of the White House because "they can do it."

He and his visiting colleague Ari Fleischer – who was press attaché to former President George W. Bush – added that the press attaché job is much more than just holding briefings and making public statements. .

Thursday, Trump announced that Sanders would leave his post at the end of the month.

"After three and a half years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month to return home to the great state of Arkansas," said Trump.
