Selena Gomez fans express outrage over Peacock news Saved by the Bell reboot featured several references to the singer’s kidney transplant in 2017.

Gomez first revealed that she received a kidney transplant from grown up actress Raísa in September 2017, after being open about her battle with lupus for several years.
Gomez shared a photo of the friends holding hands from their hospital bed as well as photos of his stomach after the operation.
“There are no words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raísa,” Gomez said. “She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much my sister.
“My kidneys were just finished,” she later explained in an interview on Today in October 2017. “It was over, and I didn’t want to ask a single person in my life. The idea of asking someone to do this was really difficult for me. She volunteered and did it. And let alone someone who is keen to volunteer, finding a partner is incredibly difficult. The fact that she was a match, I mean, it’s amazing. It is not real.
