Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky. tore Dr Anthony Fauci apart again by explaining his Justice Department referral against him on Fox News.

On Wednesday, Senator Rand Paul spoke to “The Story with Martha MacCallum” to discuss his Justice Department request for an investigation against Fauci for his behavior during a Senate hearing.

In discussing this, Paul openly claimed that Fauci was hiding any relationship he had with gain-of-function research at a Wuhan lab that is believed to be the source of the COVID-19 virus.

“Well, I think it’s important to know that Dr Fauci has a personal interest in hiding any relationship or responsibility for anything that is done in the Wuhan lab,” Paul said. “Without a doubt, the evidence we presented in committee yesterday shows that the NIH was funding research in Wuhan. We showed the exact numeric series of numbers that goes with the grant numbers. So yes, they were funding the Wuhan lab. . ”

RAND PAUL SAYS HE WILL ASK DOJ FOR ‘CRIMINAL DISMISSAL’ ON FAUCI TESTIMONY

Paul also explained the definition of job search as he did during Tuesday’s Senate hearing.

“This is undoubtedly what happened in the Wuhan lab. We have a number of professors who have said so,” he noted.

Senator Paul and Fauci also fought in a previous Senate hearing, continuing an ongoing feud. Each man accused the other of lying about their previous statements as Fauci continued to deny that US money was spent on funding the Wuhan lab despite Paul’s evidence.

“I have never lied in front of Congress and I do not withdraw that statement,” Fauci said.

“You’re dancing around this because you’re trying to obscure the responsibility,” Paul said.

That interaction led Paul to announce on Tuesday his intention to seek a criminal referral for Fauci from the Justice Department.

“I will send a letter to the Department of Justice asking for a criminal referral because he lied to Congress. We have scientists who lined up by the dozen to say that the research he was funding was a gain of office,” Paul announced.

However, Paul told “The Story” that he was pessimistic that the DOJ would act on his dismissal.

“I guess they will act in a very partisan way and they will not pursue this,” he said.

Yet he has continued to criticize Fauci as well as left-wing networks that refuse to question his involvement in gain-of-office research.

“Right now, Fauci is getting away with it because no one is questioning him. He only goes to leftist networks that ask him easy questions like, ‘Ha-ha-ha, isn’t Rand Paul if there? These are the kinds of questions he gets. Nobody asks him why it’s not a functional research gain, ”said Paul.

Martha MacCallum also reminded Paul that there was a ban on gain-of-office research, perhaps explaining Fauci and the National Institute of Health’s different definition of research.

“People should understand that there is a personal interest in preserving Dr Fauci from not being associated with the Wuhan lab,” Paul explained.
