If you still want to travel on Mars, this is your chance. Well, ok, you can not go to Mars but your first name can, and it's as close as possible.

The March 2020 rover is preparing to begin its seven-month journey to Mars next July, and NASA has announced that it will also take your name:

Once it arrives, it will spend at least a year on Mars (about 687 terrestrial days) collecting data and samples of rocks and soils to study.

To join the more than 2 million names (including mine!) Already registered, go to the NASA website, enter your name, your country, your zip code and your email address, then click on "Send my name to Mars ". You can download or print your boarding card.

If you have young children, they will probably get a kick out and it would be a great opportunity to talk about space exploration and learn more about the mission.

But if you want to fly solo, that's good too.
