Morocco organized a ministerial meeting on the African Initiative 3S (Sustainability, Stability & Security) on July 17 in New York, attended by several African ministers of the environment and senior European officials and International Organizations.
Ministerial Meeting Highlighted the High Potential of the 3S Initiative as an African Intergovernmental Initiative to Address the Root Causes of Migration and Instability amplified by land degradation and climate change in Africa.

Senegal's Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Mame Thierno Dieng, noted the "undeniable link" between environmental degradation and security and safety issues. in Africa, highlighting the relevance of this meeting on the 3S initiative.
