Founded in 1959, the Süper Lig annually sees eighteen clubs competing for the title, including Galatasaray A.Ş., Fenerbahçe A.Ş., Beşiktaş A.Ş. and the Trabzonspor A.Ş. Süper Lig is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, with stunning matches followed each week by passionate fans. Only five teams have won the league since its creation, and the next season promises to be extremely competitive.

To celebrate the addition of the prestigious Turkish league, KONAMI has recruited midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu as Local Ambassador. With 51 goals scored in 192 league games, Çalhanoğlu is a Turkish international footballer currently practicing in Italy. Selected 33 times in the national team of Turkey with which he scored eight goals, he is one of the greatest hopes of the country. The midfielder will be solicited for local promotions and will appear on the Turkish jacket of PES 2019 alongside the world ambassador Philippe Countinho.

The Turkish mascot, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, shows his satisfaction to represent his country for this new album :

"The PES series is known for its know-how and I am very happy to represent such a successful modern football simulation. Turkish football is exciting and full of talent, and I can not wait to see the talented KONAMI teams recreate it in their game for my country.

On Konami's side, Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development, explains the choice of this investment:

"Turkish football enjoys fantastic support and for many years we received requests asking us to add this dynamic league to the PES series. This moment has finally come. We are thrilled to be able to include the Süper Lig at PES 2019 and we will ensure that the passion and talent that fans and players demonstrate in every game will be perfectly recreated. Each of the 18 teams will be fully featured in the game, and we look forward to showing our work in the coming months.

In parallel, Konami also announced the partnership with the Scottish club, Celtic Football Club Glasgow. All players, stadium, players and equipment will be officially represented in PES 2019.

Celtic, which has just won its seventh consecutive title in the Scottish Championship, will be reproduced to perfection in PES 2019, with its players but also its iconic stadium, Celtic Park, which will be available for download after the release. KONAMI will use its impressive 3D scan technology to ensure that Glasgow club players are faithfully represented in play. Each player will be scanned by dozens of cameras from every angle, and KONAMI will ensure that the skills, performances and everyone's playing styles are properly incorporated into the game.

Celtic can boast a prestigious track record, and begins its new season hoping to win an eighth consecutive title: it would be its fiftieth since his creation. His first match dates back to 1888, and he has had many successes both nationally and in Europe. Its players have won 55 national cups and have a very large community of fans around the world.

This partnership comes as KONAMI enters the Scottish Championship at PES for the very first time. Each of the twelve teams will have their official uniform thanks to a pack of data available after the game's release, while the numbers and statistics will be updated weekly. Celtic will have a limited edition of PES 2019. Fans will be able to purchase this version which will offer DLC and custom bonus content. Only 1,000 copies will be available, and the demand may be very high. More information on this will be available later.

The release of PES 2019 is scheduled for August 30 and a demo will be available from August 8.
