On the question, it could not have been clearer. "I told you that I do not make a selection. But economic crimes are now imprescriptible, especially with regard to the public good. So those who today will escape this dynamic will answer one day, "he said.
Indeed, during the plenary on July 5 at the National Assembly, MP Valentin Djènontin, who no longer had any immunity, accused President Patrice Talon and some of his close associates, including his friend Olivier Boko, Minister Pascal Koukpaki, Sieurs Kotingan, Adjovi and others, of witnessing high-level meetings in the file of financial malpractice in the management of the cotton sector which he is overwhelmed. But for Patrice Talon, there are no fears to have if the allegations are proven and the people mentioned are still alive.
The Head of State says that in fact, there is now a new dynamic that forces all those who are ministers today, general managers of companies or those who are appointed to any position of responsibility to answer for their actions. "Myself and all those who are today in governance should be answerable for our actions. Today, people are concerned about doing their jobs well because they realize that what is happening today will catch up with them tomorrow. "
If the fight against corruption and impunity remains an exploit for the cantor of the New Beginning, we must not lose sight of that it is supposed to be a major concern of all time. And as the president said at the beginning of the show, "the fight against corruption is a prerequisite for governance action. Because the first wealth of a people is its ability to work with self-sacrifice in accordance with the law, while respecting the general interest. Reassuring that he leads the fight without qualms, President Talon wished that the fight against corruption could be credited.
