The American artist Cardi B, who quickly became one of the most influential women in the hip-hop world, announced Wednesday the birth of her daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus.
On Instagram, the rapper posted a photo of her pregnant, naked and tattooed in a room full of flowers, with the legend of her daughter's name and date of birth on July 10, 2018.
25-year-old New Yorker had previously revealed the sex of the baby she was going to have with rapper Offset, one of three members of the Migos group. This is his first child and the fourth for Offset, who has three other children from previous relationships.
The baby's name, Kulture Kiari Cephus, is a nod to his father, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus. "Culture" and "Culture II" are the names of albums of his hip hop group.
Cardi B has gained a huge reputation in the American musical universe since the success of his song "Bodak Yellow", release l last year, which echoes her former life as a stripper to make ends meet.
Born in the Bronx neighborhood, Belcalis Almanzar – her real name – has recently risen again at the top of the US singles chart with her song "I like it."
She first kept her pregnancy secret before singing in April on "Saturday Night Live" by wearing a white dress showing her pregnant belly.
The American singer also recently confirmed that she had secretly married Offset. Cardi B, whose first album titled "Invasion of Privacy" had expressed his annoyance at the time of the spread of the news, releasing: "At least you can stop saying that I had a baby out of wedlock. "
