The International Surf Film Festival returns this afternoon on the banks of Anglet . Considered as one of the essential events of this summer, the festival counts this year to highlight its accessibility and its conviviality. For its 15th edition the festival will propose 4 days and 4 evenings of projections in a format free . And that's good, it starts this afternoon!

5 pm – WESTERN ROAD : A surf trip on the wild coast of Western Australia, looking for rare and isolated spots.

In recent years, Raphael Dib had the chance to travel back and forth in Western Australia. He was able to film some of the most extraordinary waves in this country, which only work a few times a year. This production presents a surf trip on the wild coast, in search of rare and isolated spots.

5:30 pm – WIRES OF BATHS : Men passionate about the minimalist discipline of bodysurf, through the values ​​of nature and the ocean.

"Son of Baïnes" is a film project on the e bodysurf, nature, the ocean and the values ​​ attached to it. Through this adventure, you discover men passionate about a minimalist discipline with the origins of surfing. The film is made in the heart of winter, in an authentic environment, the Landes . Mixture of unspoiled and unspoiled nature where beaches, dunes and forests meet.

18h – DAKAR SURF CITY : A vision of surfing in Dakar where his team participates for the first time in ISA world championships in Biarritz.

RISE AND FALL : Massimiliano Mattei spent most of his life in the water. Surfing always accompanied him in his choices, even after this accident that changed his life. This short film retraces the stages of Massimiliano of the incident that made him become paralyzed, until his 4th place at ISA World Adaptive Surfing 2017 in La Jolla in California.

SALT OF THE EARTH : A film about the journey of creating traditional alaias to surf the perfect waves of Noosa . The latter shares the story of Tom Wegener as a master shaper, based in the Australian community, where he makes hand-made wooden surfboards. He is an icon both as a shaper and as a person.

"I AM HOME" : A short film reminding us of the beauty of life and travel. To meet new people, to mix with other cultures, and soak up what the planet has to offer more beautiful.

THE TORCH : The company WAG Productions and the director Hugo Manhes teamed up with professional surfers Ian Fontaine and Gaspard Larsonneur to make a film that is nothing like a traditional surfing film. The two surfers Brittany surfed in the middle of the night the mythical point of The Torch lit by 120 000 watts of colored lights. A technical defeat never done before "It is about projecting colored lights on the ocean to give it an almost supernatural appearance" confesses the director, Hugo Manhes.

22 h 30: BAND OF BROTHERS
