At least two more executions of former members of the Aum sect in Japan – rts.ch

Japanese media announced between two and six executions this Thursday morning, adding to the seven that Japan has already done earlier this month.

A press conference by Japanese Justice Minister Yoko Kamikawa is scheduled for later in the day, according to the NHK public channel.

Thirteen former members of the Aum Supreme Truth cult had been sentenced to death several years ago, including guru Shoko Asahara (whose real name is Chizuo Matsumoto), who was executed earlier this month. Some 190 other disciples had also been sentenced to various sentences.
