Cameroon: After Aurion, revive Kiro'o Games with the first comic mobile game on African officials

(ICT Mag) – Kiro'o Games, the first video game creation studio in Cameroon, announced this July 23, 2018 in Yaounde its first mobile game entitled "The Leader" who will be available in early 2019 on smartphone and tablet.

After the first PC game of African-Fantasy (Aurion), the first self financing financing platform (Rebuntu) and an online comic, Kiro'o continues its expansion plan "wallbreakers" announced since late 2016.

"The civil service and governance are central topics in the discussions of young Africans. We have been working since November 2016 to make it a fun game. We found a satisfactory formula " explains Olivier MADIBA, the founder of Kiroo Games in his statement.

" We created an imaginary country, the Mboa, which is a caricature of our States . The game will allow to simulate in a comical way, a life of executive of the African public service, inspired by the clichés of the Cameroonian civil service ", adds Ngounou Ivan, Game Designer of the game and founder of the Tanaki Video YouTube channel

" The game will go further than your smartphone. We are creating an extended universe. For example the Facebook page of the game will give news of the Republic of Mboa according to the activities of the community of players ", specifies Dominique YAKAN, Lead Designer of the studio.

Kiro'o Games is one of the pioneers of the video game industry in Africa. The studio has made the biggest video game exploiting African culture to date, Aurion Heritage Kori-Odan. Kiro'o also created an online comic book and a mentoring platform (Kiroorebuntu) to teach project leaders how to raise funds like kiro'o. Today the team aims for a multi-service expansion in 12 African countries.
