After three days of work, ambassadors and consuls-general closed their 14th conference. In the final act chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, they shared the recommendations and summaries of the themes that occupied them during the work.

Thus, ambassadors and consuls general recommend capacity building Diplomatic and consular staff affected in matters of civil status, for the benefit of Burkinabe from abroad

The conference also recommended the establishment of a strategy for the promotion and placement of Burkinabe expertise in international organizations, the provision of substantial resources for the implementation of this strategy. The participants also suggested the strengthening of the capacity of mail processing and the consequent endowment of the diplomatic and consular missions with financial and material means.

Alpha Barry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, recalled that this 14th conference was about how his ministry can contribute to the successful implementation of the PNDES and provide an adequate response to security challenges. "At a time when the north of the country is experiencing an escalation of violence and attacks, forcing schoolchildren and their brave supervisors to desert classrooms, our diplomacy must resolutely reframe itself in its sovereign mission which is the defense of the people of Burkina Faso and its interests in the international arena, in order to help the Sahel Emergency Program grow and realize its noble ambitions, "said the head of Burkina Faso's diplomacy.

Without peace, there is no development, acknowledged Alpha Barry. But it turns out that terrorism feeds essentially on the poverty of the people. For him, therefore, the diplomats must "mobilize more the friends and partners of Burkina Faso to put them at the service of the economic and social development of Burkina Faso."

In addition, the minister said he had confidence in the capacity of the ambassadors and consuls-general to meet the challenges. As for the conclusions of the work, he reassured that they will be transmitted to the highest authorities for examination.
