The Alfapipe Public Company, part of the Imetal Metallurgical and Steel Industries Group, has just signed on Wednesday a commercial grouping agreement with Algerian joint public / private enterprise, the Global Support Group Company (Sgsg). Alfapipe is a leader in the manufacture and marketing of spiral welded steel tubes, mainly for the hydrocarbon and hydraulic sectors. It has two pipe production units, one in Annaba and the other in Ghardaia. Through this partnership agreement, it aims to strengthen its position, pointing the international market. According to its managing director, Aït Youcef Mahmoud, the signing of this grouping agreement is in line with the overall strategy of market diversification. It also reinforces the position of the company, which has a great experience in export activities thanks to a dense network on the international market. The Global Support Group, has partnered with this "pipe giant" to strengthen its position too, knowing that it has already won several international markets, which are in the process of realization, says one with the Sgsg . These include the construction of 500 km of hydraulic pipes in Mauritania, 300 km of pipe-gas in the United Arab Emirates, 100 km of hydraulic pipes in Senegal. Concerning this new group, called "GSC-Alfapipe" and enjoying the legal entity, the two parties have joined forces to better market the spiral steel tubes produced. The Alfapipe company was created on July 15, 2006, following the merger of the two companies Alfatus (subsidiaries of the Sider Group) which had started its production in Annaba in March 1969. It is now located within the El complex. -Hadjar, and Pipegaz (subsidiary of the Anabib group) which started production in Ghardaïa in March 1977 and is located in the industrial zone of Bounoura (Ghardaïa). Its workforce of more than 1,500 employees is divided between its two factories and its head office in Algiers. He enjoys a corporate culture built on a cumulative experience of forty years in the field of manufacturing tubes and transmitted by industry pioneers in Algeria, who have come to comply with the latest world standards in their field.
