Gabon: Regional Director of WHO-Africa Offers Medical Supplies

The Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Africa, Dr. Rebecca, Matshidiso Moeti, handed over Wednesday to Libreville, Gabonese Minister of Health, Me Denise Mekam'ne, a large batch of equipment consisting of medical equipment, computer, office furniture and 1600 kits to fight against Ebola haemorrhagic fever.
        

During a forty-eight-hour stay in Gabon, Dr. Matshidiso Moeti will meet with Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba, the Prime Minister, the President of the Senate, as well as with the staff of the UN organizations present in Gabon. Libreville.

The agenda of the WHO Regional Director for Africa also includes a visit to the health center of Nzeng Ayong in the 6th district of Libreville, where nearly one-third of the population of the Gabonese capital is concentrated.

In this health facility, she will see the effectiveness of free deliveries in public health facilities, decided last January by the head of the Gabonese state.
