RAM: boarding for African culture

The director of the customer center at the RAM, Othmane Bekkari and Gregory Owona, president of the association Ecrans Noirs and Cameroonian Minister of Labor and Social Security, initialed Friday, July 13 in Yaoundé (Cameroon) a new agreement of a partnership whereby the national company becomes the official carrier of the Ecrans Noirs Festival.

This agreement, which covers the next three editions (2018-2020) of the festival, is a new step in the commitment of the RAM in several cultural activities that go hand in hand with its inking in Africa. "This partnership aims to strengthen cultural ties between the countries of the continent and the promotion of its image internationally," said Bekkari at the signing ceremony.

In parallel with its strategy to become one of the largest air carriers in Africa, RAM has become involved in the continent's cultural agenda by supporting several major events, such as the African Film Festival (FESPACO) in Ouagadougou, the Dakar Biennial, the Bamako Photography Biennial , the Abidjan Arts and Entertainment Market, etc.

Ecrans Noirs, Chapter 22

The 22nd edition of the Ecrans Noirs Festival, which will take place from 13 to 20 July in Yaounde and Douala, will be distribution of nearly 70 thought-provoking films from several African countries, including Maghreb countries, and other French-speaking regions of the world

"This partnership with RAM will allow the festival to invite more people from India and South America, which can only enrich the content of the festival and will build bridges between African cinema. and that of other continents, "said Bassek Ba Kobhio, founder and general delegate of the festival.

Finally, the support of the national company will allow the training of young Cameroonians to the professions of cinema in the kingdom.
