Politics is a moving sand. It's been known for ages. But, it's mostly a game of balance of power. The young MP Atao Hinnouho Mohamed, who is currently languishing in prison, has learned the hard way. This is why the rally, in extremis, or the return of his party to the presidential movement last weekend in Porto-Novo is anything but a major event.
Finally Atao Hinnouho and his clique landed, as some people have fun saying on the social networks, hands and feet bound in the presidential movement. The past weekend, despite the distance and his absence near his, the young troublemaker MP of the 15th district has, it seems, convinced his supporters of the need to contribute to the development work begun by the "Rupture" and therefore, to back down. Basically, this is only justice, or rather the common sense found. For in the recent past, in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, MP Atao Hinnouho Mohamed was the first to join the coalition of the rupture that supported Patrice Talon. He had, at the time, surprised the political class by the speed and clarity of its political choice. It was unequivocal support for Patrice Talon, to close the page of the deleterious and pestilential "Yayi" years. The young MP's decision was soon to be read as a sign of "political maturity". It was expected then that he would mark this anchorage with unwavering fidelity to the new power. And behaving like a real politician, not driven by his personal interests, but by the general interest.
But unfortunately ! Once again, and against all odds, the MP turned his back on the government's policy. Atao Hinnouho, may be dissatisfied after the first acts and arbitrations of Patrice Talon, openly unleashed against the one he took to power. He had, in fact, forgotten where he came from. He must have forgotten, too, that he left, without warning and without any other form of trial, the party which formed him and launched him into politics. "Is not this a sign of ingratitude? Asked his militant party peers. He also forgot that a young leader like him should be exemplary. He has, finally, certainly forgotten, that his election in 2016 as deputy, was made in two steps.
A traveling salesman of the "death"!
Had it not been the "clemency" of a certain Court, he would have already found himself thrown into the void. It is here that he must be grateful to Mr. Kato Attita, who gave his "patter" and his experience to help in his draft. But, the young and dashing politician, certainly moved by his position and his financial ease, was quick to take the big one. He was too eager and ambitious, he wanted to go too fast. But supreme error, and a sign of a certain precocity, Atao Hinnouho forgot that he was a "wholesaler", and a "traveling salesman of death."
Admittedly, he had benefited from the largesse and insufficiencies of a regime whose exploits he had been able to exploit, in order to prosper his illicit trade. But an elected representative of the people can not engage in such a trade, under the pretext of having immunity. Better, it is unforgivable to use his political cover to get rich. It's against morality and ethics. It is therefore logical that today it pays the price of a certain "agitation" and inexperience. He will have left, on the floor, in this rush to reach the summit, many young idlers at Akpakpa, who believed in him. Should his absence on the political scene be final, or at least continue, it would be a real boulevard for his opponents and former political "friends" of the 15th electoral district. He expects only that. So is politics. Any mistake is paid "cash".
