The 20th Conference of the Heads of State of Uemoa opens Monday Lom

Special Envoy, Edouard Tour – The Heads of State and Government of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) hold their 20th Ordinary Session on Monday afternoon.

The Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara, current President of the UEMOA Conference of Heads of State and Government, will preside over this meeting, which will bring together the heads of state of the member countries and heads of the Union's institutions.

the Togolese capital, which also hosts a Cedeao-Ceeac joint summit on Monday morning, the Heads of State will discuss, among other things, the Report on the State of the West African Economic and Monetary Union, the Note on the Convergence of States in the Member States of the Union as well as State of implementation of High Level Projects: Regional Initiative for Sustainable Energy (IRED); peace and security; food security in the WAEMU space

The Conference of Heads of State and Government is the supreme body which defines the main lines of Union policy

The Conference Appointing Presidents and Members of the Union's Organs and Institutions, meets at least once in ordinary session.
