The launching ceremony of the works of the 4th Abidjan Bridge, which will take place in the presence of the Prime Minister, in charge of the Budget and the State Portfolio, Amadou Gon Coulibaly, will take place at 15:30, local time and Gmt at Attecoubé "Health village" in western Abidjan, says the note.

This infrastructure is expected to relieve traffic congestion in Abidjan, where there is significant congestion on major highways, creating a waste of time and impacting the competitiveness of the Ivorian economy.

Minister of Equipment and Road Maintenance, Amede Kouakou, announced in March that Ivorians will see "very soon emerge modern infrastructure," among others the 4th Bridge of Abidjan and the Bridge of Cocody connecting the Cathedral (Plateau ) in Saint-Jean.

For infrastructure issues, the Ivorian State intends to mobilize more than 3,500 billion FCFA of public and private funds under the National Development Program (PND, 2016-2020) to achieve major structural works.

This 4th Bridge, 1,400 meters long, also passes in the commune of Adjamé, in the North of Abidjan. According to forecasts, more than 70,000 vehicles should use this bridge every day. It was launched more than three years after the 3rd Bridge bearing the name of the former head of state Henri Konan Bédié.
