"The government of Senegal has learned, with indignation, of the murder of our compatriot Alassane BA, living in Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo, on July 24, 2018," reads a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the note, the government strongly condemns this murder. "The Consul General of Senegal in Pointe-Noire has been instructed to request the opening of an impartial investigation, to determine the causes and circumstances of the death and to provide all the assistance required for the repatriation of the body," said the text.
In this painful circumstance, the government offers its condolences to the family of the deceased and to the entire Senegalese community established in the Republic of Congo.
