Waves of violence: the CNDHCI calls for solutions to consolidate social cohesion

Abidjan, 11 Jul (AIP) The National Human Rights Commission of the Ivory Coast (CNDHCI) calls on the government to take the necessary steps to consolidate social cohesion in the country, following the waves of violence recorded in several localits, says a statement of the institution on Tuesday, sign of the president Namizata Sangar, arrived the IPA Wednesday.

The CNDHCI draws the attention of the Government on these acts of violence and vvy take steps necessary to guarantee the respect of the rights the safety, life, the peace of all people. It also urges all investigations to locate the responsibilities and punish the perpetrators, says the statement.

This call arises from acts of violence that have occasioned serious human rights violations in the country for a few weeks, specifically Bangolo (24 June), Znasso 1 and Kodiaga (Bagou region, 24 June), Korhogo (07 July) and Koun-Fao (09 July), recalls the communiqué

These incidents, which caused loss of life and many wounded, have respectively reported clashes over the murder of a lady Gur, control of the exploitation of a shallow, a political meeting and the management of a strong class Tankess, restores the information note.

The CNDHCI addresses its sincerest condolences to the families of those who have died and expresses its solidarity with all the wounded, remaining willing to contribute to the search for appropriate solutions for a better protection of human rights throughout the national territory, concludes the communication
