KINSASA – The Congolese Ministry of Health confirmed today that the last Ebola virus outbreak was over in this country
Health Minister, Oli Ilung Kaleng, released this report after a 42-day observation period during which no new cases of infection by this virus has not been recorded. He said that in the last outbreak, 54 people were infected with Ebola.
This outbreak, which appeared for the ninth time in the Congo, was announced in May in the northwestern province of Ecuador. This deadly disease first spread in the large city of Kong Mbandaku, which has 1.2 million inhabitants.
