The Police Director pointed out that this project has contributed significantly to strengthening the institutional capacity of the Police Criminal Police Directorate and to improving standards and quality in the fight against organized crime. The Serbian police also worked closely with experts from the forensic institutes of Wiesbaden, Munich and Lyon, carrying out this project and purchasing equipment in the past, the National Criminal Investigation Center of the Ministry of Defense. French Ambassador Frederik Mondoloni underlined the European Union's determination to continue strengthening cooperation with Serbia in order to preserve common security and added that France was extremely satisfied with the results obtained in the framework of the project "Combating organized crime".
"I am extremely satisfied with the bilateral cooperation with Serbia, which came to fruition in September 2016 with the signing of the Paris agreement on the formation of a joint criminal investigation – a intelligence team, "said Mr. Mondoloni.
The deputy ambassador of Germany, Nemanja Aleksander Jung, pointed out that Serbia has opened up to now 14 chapters of negotiations with the European Union, including chapters 23 and 24 which are the central theme of the project "Fight against organized crime". The objective of the project "Fight against organized crime", funded by the European Union with 1.5 million euros, was to contribute to Serbia's efforts to harmonize the policy in the area of home affairs with the standards of the European Union.
