Sha’Carri Richardson raised her eyebrows on Wednesday when she appeared to cast a shadow over her American teammate Allyson Felix.
Richardson’s week got off to a rocky start when she finished in ninth place upon her return to the track after a marijuana suspension. Felix appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Tuesday and gave Richardson a few words of encouragement in his interview with guest host Stephen A. Smith.

“She’s obviously been through so much,” said Felix, who triumphed at the Olympics winning her 11th medal overall. “I hope she is just supported. I hope people will come around to her. Obviously she has a great personality and she has drawn a lot of attention to the sport. I think she will be in. sport for a very long time.
“I think more than anything, for all athletes there is so much to do – we just give her, you know, the support she needs.”
Richardson seemed to take Felix’s words as an affront.
“The encouraging words in TV shows are just as real and nothing at all,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

She then shared a separate post on her stories, which read, “Be a good person, but don’t waste time proving it.”
Richardson ran the 100-meter sprint at Prefontaine Track in Oregon in the Diamond League event. Jamaican Elaine Thompson-Herah won the race, beating her time at the Olympics with 10.54 seconds.
Richardson tweeted on Monday that she could only ride from here.
“The only path from the 9 is in place! ” she wrote.
While Richardson was disappointing when she returned to the track, she had a runway interview with NBC that went viral on social media. Richardson said she was “not at all mad at myself” despite finishing ninth.
“It’s a race,” said Richardson. “I’m not done. You know what I’m capable of. Count me if you want. Talk whatever you want. Because I’m here to stay. I’m not done. I’m ‘I’m here. sixth fastest woman ever in this game. No one can ever take her away from me. “
She later added: “This last month has been a trip for me, but that’s no excuse, because at the end of the day I’m an athlete. Today was a day, but it’s not. every day. It’s not the end of the world And like I said if you count on me the joke is on you. “

Richardson won the 100-meter on the same track at the Olympic track and field trials in the United States in June before the suspension.
