Shailene Woodley is learning football “slowly but surely” from her fiancé Aaron Rodgers.
The “Big Little Lies” actress, 29, spoke to Seth Meyers on his late night show on Monday about how she learns the rules and playing terminology from the Green Bay Packers quarterback, 37.
“I guess I didn’t feel any pressure, but it’s exciting,” Woodley said of his entry into the sport. “The Packers games are the only ones that I find really interesting because I have people to lean on.”
“But it’s a whole new world, I’m learning all the different ones – I’m still, ‘Oh, you scored a goal.’ He’s like, ‘It’s a touchdown.’ Or I’ll say, ‘You crossed the line’ and he says, ‘It’s a yardstick’ or something, ‘”she admitted. “I still can’t get it right, but I’m learning, slowly but surely.”

Woodley also shared details on how Rodgers prepared for his temporary stint as “Jeopardy!” host earlier this year.

“When I got home at 8 or 9 pm, he was always watching ‘Jeopardy!’,” She described. “And I would open the trash, and I just saw like a bunch of empty takeout containers and milkshake cups that he ordered on Uber Eats, and I was like, ‘You literally ate Uber and watched’ Jeopardy! ‘ all day today. “When we announced that we were engaged, we wanted to do it only because we didn’t want someone else to do it before us. And we didn’t do it for months and months after we did. we are engaged, but the reaction was really a lot, and so we said to ourselves: “just politely decline [to talk about the relationship] for a little while and live in our little bubble. ‘”
In June, Woodley told Shape magazine she and the former Super Bowl champion immediately began living together because of the pandemic.
“Starting a relationship where you immediately move in with someone – because it’s a pandemic and you can’t just get on a plane and go back and forth on weekends – has taught us a lot about each other. others very quickly, ”she explained. “We jumped in head first and got rid of some of the sticky elements earlier.”

But just because they’ve lived together quickly doesn’t mean they’re going to be walking down the aisle anytime soon. Woodley told Entertainment Tonight, “There is no wedding planning. There is no emergency. We are not in a hurry.”
