Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood still at odds

It’s been almost a week since Sharon Osbourne turned on Sheryl Underwood for questioning her defense of Piers Morgan’s controversial comments about Meghan Markle on ‘The Talk’, and the co-hosts have still not reconciled.

“Sharon is pissed off at Sheryl because she feels like she helped plant a seed that she’s racist, and [Osbourne]is unable to rationalize that this is not what happened, ”an insider on the CBS daytime show told Page Six.

In fact, the insider said, Sharon went mad after the show and shouted, “I’m going to get my lawyers!”

Osbourne offered a long apology to those she offended in the black community, but did not mention Underwood.

A source close to Osbourne, however, told us that she had contacted Underwood personally.

“She sent him a very detailed, emotional and heartfelt apology on Friday. It was very personal and Sheryl did not respond to her, ”the source said.

Osbourne then gave an interview to Variety magazine, where she lashed out at CBS for blinding her with the segment.

But sources told us it was Osbourne who initially wanted to talk about Morgan and Markle on the show.

“Whenever Sharon makes headlines, she always goes to the producers and wants to talk about it on the show. She was aggressive in supporting Piers on social media and was trained for it.

“She came to work after being labeled a racist on Twitter and asked to talk about what was going on online. She [was not] blinded by CBS, ”the insider said.

Osbourne was going to talk about it in a monologue first, but “30-35 minutes” before going live we are told the producers changed their minds and decided they wanted a discussion between the hosts.

The insider continued, “Everyone knew there would be a discussion. Sharon was already hyper-emotional, and she was waiting for a blanket from Sheryl, then she felt attacked. She blames Sheryl. At the post-show reunion, she shouted, “I get my lawyers!” “

The Osbourne source explained, “Sharon was expecting maybe two questions, not a 20 minute segment on this. It shattered the previous ones, and to make matters worse, [the ladies] had come to Jesus a few weeks ago, swearing to support each other. For her, being attacked like she did was very painful.

CBS announced that it was investigating the exchange after Osbourne dropped the “F-bomb” twice, including shouting, “I can’t be a racist.” I am a [bleeping] Jewish.”

And Page Six has exclusively revealed that co-host Elaine Welteroth and her hairstylist have complained about an alleged “racially insensitive and hostile environment” on the show.

The investigation comes after years of other high-profile scandals involving a toxic work environment and racial allegations within the network.

A representative for CBS did not comment, but released a statement Friday after the announcement.

“We are committed to providing a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace,” they said.

“The Talk” suspended live episodes and aired previously recorded shows on Monday and Tuesday. They are expected to return to live shows on Wednesday.
