GREENVILLE, S.C. – Authorities in South Carolina said that a Greenville man had confused his daughter with a potential intruder and had killed her.
Lt. Jimmy Bolt of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office told the media that the man had heard someone try to get home early Sunday, so he shot through a door.
County coroner Evans said the shot was fatally wounded, 23-year-old Nadeja Jermainequa Pressley, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. The case is still under investigation.
