Short rain break for Sunday

Local forecast

TONIGHT: We have light rain showers diminishing in the area which will appear to slowly subside as we continue into the night. An isolated light snow shower could even creep into western WY and the Tetons. Cold winds will be a bit windy between 5-15mph. Low temperatures until the early hours of the morning seem to be in the 1930s.

TOMORROW: We will have sun for most of the day which will allow us to take a slight break from the precipitation of the last two days. The clouds will seek to increase as the day progresses and we will then have a slight probability of 10 to 20% of rain in the evening. The winds will appear very windy between 10 and 20 mph. High temperatures will seek to warm up in the 1950s.

LONG TERM: Sunday evening to Monday morning will trigger our first heavy snow of the year. The snow will be mainly concentrated in the central Tetons and ID mountains with some areas up to 6 inches of snow, but it cannot be excluded that there will be an inch of snow in the valleys. Snow will appear to occur on Monday and Tuesday morning, while more rain showers are expected to occur during the day on Monday. Another possibility of brief showers of mixed precipitation will occur overnight Wednesday through Thursday. Sunny skies will then seek to persist until the weekend. Over the weeks the highs are in the 40s and for next weekend we are looking to warm the highs in the 50s.
