Sigourney Weaver, who plays the iconic role of Ripley in the movie Extraterrestrial movie franchise, surprised students at a high school in New Jersey Friday night by restoring a play based on the sci-fi movie, whose images were the subject of viral viral last month.
After the students from North Bergen High presented a very popular production, Alien the Play, pictures of their sets and costumes made from recycled materials became viral after being put online.
Steven Defendini, Artistic Director and Director of High School, has already told BuzzFeed News that the cast and crew do not really have a budget, so students have to be creative with their resources.
The astronaut costumes were created from moving blankets, while the helmets were made by combining foam for floor mats and bottle caps. One of the sets, which is supposed to be a computer room, was even made from egg cartons insertions.
The result was really spectacular.
After receiving a lot of positive feedback and receiving a positive response from all the Internet users, the director of the original movie, Ridley Scott, donated $ 5,000 to high school to piece together the piece with a larger budget.
And Weaver surprised the cast by stopping in front of the booster performance.
In one video posted on Twitter Friday night, we see Weaver walking in the hallway of a school unannounced. Once students recognize it, they appear shocked and begin to applaud their unexpected and honored guest.
After hugging a student, everyone starts to applaud.
"I represent all Extraterrestrial fans of the universe who think that what you are doing is so cool and so important, " Weaver said to students.
Another video shows A high school student shouting: "I love you, you are the hero of my childhood! I can not believe you're here right now! Before kissing Weaver.
"Our performance on Alien really shows that you can do so much with so little," Defendini told BuzzFeed News, "and as long as there is a passion for doing these things, they are possible.
