It looks like Marvel's characters, left and right, are coming back from the dead in "Avengers 4."
Last week, actor Frank Grillo said that his character, Crossbones (deceased in "Captain America: Civil War"), would make a surprise appearance in "Avengers 4". One of the film's producers revealed the return of another dead character, the mentor of "Doctor Strange," The Ancient One, played by Tilda Swinton.
At a roundtable held at the Austin Film Festival, executive producer of "Avengers 4," Michael Grillo, and screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely discussed the complex logistics involved with filming planning. so many major stars when Grillo dropped this bomb.
"When we had Tilda Swinton, she was only available one day," he said.
The former Swinton, The Ancient One, advised Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) before being killed by the wicked wizard Kaecillus (Mads Mikkelsen).
Like Crossbones, The Ancient One could appear in a flashback. Or, as many fans suspect, the film will play with a timeline, so it may come back differently. In any case, it seems that "Avengers 4" will be even more loaded than expected.
