"What's wrong with Secretary Kim" is not your typical angsty vanilla K-drama where 10 episodes are wasted on how their parents and their families are against their relationship. These bright scenes will make you laugh loudly – and cringe with sympathy.

A strong female character who knows her worth

Yas, finally we welcome another strong female character a police detective, a superhero, a lawyer or a doctor to K-dramaland. There is nothing wrong with these professions, but it's refreshing to see a reasonable and confident woman with an ordinary career who knows her value and does not have to rely on others for every little thing. Kim Mi So knows exactly what she wants – most of the time – and is not afraid to ask what she wants or deserves

The Bromance

Nothing n '. is out of bounds when it comes to Lee Young Joon and his best friend / Yoomyung group director, Park Yoo Sik (Kang Ki Young). Lee Young Joon is sometimes so ruthless that you do not know whether to keep laughing or feeling bad for Park Yoo Sik.

In return, Park Yoo Sik (Kang Ki Young) sarcastically calls Young Joon jokes at the expense of Young Joon, and gives helpful relationship tips that Young Joon misinterprets. Yoo Sik is so extra and brutally honest at times that he keeps – or at least tries to keep – Young Joon humble. He also wants Young Joon to be with Kim Mi So and know when to help a brother.

You're the real MVP, Park Yoo Sik!

Park Yoo Sik is one of the few funny friends of K-drama who gives useful and realistic advice. Who would not want a faithful friend like Park Yoo Sik to tell you that he is like that?

A super fast plot

In the first episode, Secretary Kim hands over her resignation letter, and then the story evolves rapidly through the evolution of the relationship between Mi So and Young Joon. As we watch Young Joon accept his resignation and struggle with what the last nine years mean for him, we appreciate the benefits of diving headlong into a K-drama world and directly into the turning point of their relationship. There is no slow introduction of character or character development, which makes this drama perfect for job watching

It's hilarious to see that young Joon is sometimes pathetic and it's nice to understand how Mi So understands his intentions despite the fact that he's narcissistic, brutal and rude . The gifts and surprises of young Joon are so sentimental, unexpected and unique that you can not help but wonder what he will do next.

"What's wrong with Secretary Kim" is certainly not the typical fluffy K-drama: it adds a twist to the standard office romantic comedy by featuring a strong female character who stands up, taking the spiritual dialogue to the next level, and subverting K-drama tropes as a means chaebol parents and competitive directors.

It's never too late to start looking at "What's wrong with Secretary Kim."
