'Ghoul', the first horror series of Netflix in India, will give you serious chills

Streaming giant Netflix launched the trailer of its first horror series in India: "Ghoul", a joint production of "Insidious", "Get Out" and the Bollywood movie "Udta Punjab" acclaimed by critics.

"Ghoul" is a scary series about a prisoner who arrives at a remote military interrogation center and returns the tables to his interrogators, exposing their most shameful secrets.

The series features the famous Bollywood star, Radhika Apte ("Sacred Games", "Lust Stories"), who took over Netflix's offer in India with outstanding performances in "Sacred Games", Netflix's first original series and "Lust Stories", an original Netflix movie starring four short films by four major Bollywood directors.

Coproduce "Ghoul" is Blumhouse Productions, who also produced "Paranormal Activity", "The Purge" and "Sharp Objects" from HBO

Netflix strengthens its Indian offering of Hotstar (owned by 20th Century Fox) and Amazon Prime Video. More movies and original series from the country are expected to see Netflix soon, including the recently announced adaptation of Salman Rushdie's popular novel Midnight's Children
